Taylor Billings captured The Youth Rescue Initiative AJGT Lakewood Junior Classic February 26th-27th with a two day total of 146 this past weekend at the Lakewood Country Club in New Orleans, LA.  Jacob Bergeron of Slidell, LA; claimed the Junior Boys Division with an opening round 74.  Jennifer Nguyen also of Slidell, LA; claimed the Overall Girls Division with a two day total of 162. Weather conditions were fair throughout the weekend but, Sunday the wind would play a factor into the rounds.  Arrowhead would like to thank the staff at Lakewood Country Club for making this weekend very accommodating.

With a strong field of 27 young men, the Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Taylor Billings of Kenner, LA claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend but it was Jacob Ross of Brookhaven, MS and Austin Schillaci of Harahan, LA who stole the show on Saturday. Both Ross and Schillaci shot a one under 71 to tie for the lead with Billings only one stroke back.  On Sunday, strong gusts of wind played into Billings favor.  Billings would go on a tear on Sunday and shoot a 74 (72-74, 146) consistent enough to claim the title only two strokes over Schillaci (71-77, 148).  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Jacob Ross (71-80, 151) of Brookhaven, MS; Josh Fullilove (73-78, 151) of Larose, LA; and Ryan Desormeaux (74-77, 151) of Broussard, LA.
