Robertson Stays Focused to Win at the Bridges

Brandon Robertson of Wiggins, MS claimed the Overall Boys Title this weekend, August 20th-21st,
at the Bridges Golf Club in Bay St. Louis, MS. On Saturday, Matthew Jakuback of Baton Rouge, LA
and Zachary Myers lead the boys into the clubhouse with a first round 77, only four strokes over
eventual winner Robertson. On Sunday Robertson would better his score by seven strokes and going
into a one-hole playoff against Matthew Miller of Harvey, LA who also shot an 81 on Saturday and
a 74 on Sunday. Both men would battle it out but in the end Robertson would prevail. Rounding out
the rest of the top five were Zachary Myers (77-81, 158) of Ocean Springs, MS; Daniel Tomba
(78-81, 159) of Harvey, LA; Hayes Weathersby (79-80, 159) of Poplarville, MS;
and James Hubicz (84-75, 159) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Bergeron Claims Junior Boys Title

Jacob Bergeron from Slidell, LA captured the junior boy’s title on Sunday afternoon. Bergeron shot a
79 on Saturday and was one stroke better than Stephen Wall of Madisonville, LA to start the round on Sunday.
Bergeron then went on to shoot a round of 78 on Sunday to give him the victory only
two strokes over Charlie Miller of Jackson, MS. Rounding out the rest of the top five were
Triston Elston (84-77, 161) of Baton Rouge, LA; Derick Pillai (87-76,163) of Metairie, LA;
and Payton Massey (80-85, 165) of Lucedale, MS.

Ross Wins Overall Girls Title

Emily Ross of Diamondhead, MS won the Overall Girls Title at the Bridges Golf Club this week August
20th-21st. Ross played strong on Saturday by shooting an opening round of 79 and never looked back.
Going into the round of Sunday, Ross had an incredible 15 stroke lead over Haley Harrington of
Jackson, LA. Ross would separate herself from the rest of the field on Sunday by keeping herself
together when the heat was tough. Ross shot a respectable round of 83 on Sunday giving her a victory
of 21 strokes over Harrington. Arrowhead would also like to congratulate Taylor Kennedy of
Baton Rouge, LA for winning the junior girls division and Jackie Odom, who finished second.
