Barbaree Claims Junior Boys Title
Parker Claims Overall Girls Title

Jacob Ross captured the Quail Hollow Junior Classic November 13th-14th with a two day total of 155 this past weekend at the Quail Hollow Golf Club in McComb, MS. Phillip Barbaree continued to play well as he captured the Junior Boys Title by shooting a tournament low of 71 on Saturday. Miriam Parker of Madison, MS won the Overall Girls Title with a two day total of 169. Weather conditions were a serious factor for the golfers on Sunday as rain moved into the area on Saturday night and temperatures dropped. The golfers were able to survive the cold and continued to play. Arrowhead would like to thank the great staff at the Quail Hollow Golf Club for making our trip to their golf course very accommodating.
 

Ross Wins Quail Hollow Junior Classic

Jacob Ross of nearby Brookhaven, MS used a strong Saturday score of 74 to capture the Quail Hollow Junior Classic. Ross birdied holes 4 and 9 on Saturday and ended the day Saturday with a six stroke lead over Ryan Desormeaux of Broussard, LA. With conditions playing a factor on Sunday, the golfers struggled but Ross was able to hold steady and keep his lead intact. Ross shot an 81 on Sunday giving him a two day total of 155 (74-81) and the victory four strokes over Desormeaux who had a two day total of 159 (80-79). Rounding out the rest of the top five were Landon Barraza (166, 82-84) of Jackson, MS; Michael Nasser (166, 85-81) of Shreveport, LA; and Jake Pritchard (166, 86-80) of Angie, LA.

Barbaree Continues Strong Play

Phillip Barbaree of Shreveport, LA won the Junior Boys Title this past weekend by shooting a two day tournament low of 144 this past weekend at the Quail Hollow Golf Club. Barbaree birdied holes 7,8,and 18 on Saturday to give him a ten stroke lead over Davis Field of St. Francisville, LA. Barbaree came out on Sunday and showed his abilities by shooting a tournament low of 71. Barbaree ended the tournament an incredible twenty-two strokes over Field. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Triston Elston (170, 87-83) of Baton Rouge, LA; Michael Sotile (173, 89-84) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Malachi Freeman (177, 83-94) of Summit, MS.

 
Parker Claim Overall Girls Title

Miriam Parker of Madison, MS claimed the Overall Girls Title this past weekend at the Quail Hollow Golf Club in McComb, MS with a two day total of 169. Parker was the leader once competition concluded on Saturday afternoon (80) by eight strokes over Emily Blount (88) of Denham Springs, LA. Sunday proved to be a more challenging day for the ladies as temperatures dropped and wind intensified. Parker would hold strong by shooting a 89 on Sunday to give her a two day total of 169 (80,89) and the Girls Overall Title by 16 sixteen strokes over Bridget Landry (91-94, 185) of Slidell, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top four were Emily Blount (88-98, 186) of Denham Springs, LA; and Haley Harrington (89-98, 187) of Jackson, LA.
