Harris Claim Girls Title
Chuck Spears captured the Coca-Cola Junior Classic July 29th-31st, with a three day total of 210
(73-66-71) at the Beaver Creek Golf Club in Zachary, LA. Angelica Harris of New Orleans, LA would
shoot a three day total of 227 (74-77-76) to capture the Overall Girls Title. The Juniors Boys Title
was won by Stephen Wall of Madisonville, LA with a total of 226 (77-73-76). The young men and
women were forced to play through the hottest temperatures we have seen all year so we would
like to congratulate everyone for a great three days of golf. Arrowhead would also like to thank the
wonderful staff at Beaver Creek for all of the wonderful hospitality.

Spears Wins with Consistent Play
Throughout Tournament
Chuck Spears of Pineville, LA played a consistent round of golf this week to capture the Overall Boys
Title at Beaver Creek Golf Club in Zachary, LA. Opening the tournament on Friday, Spears was sitting
tied for fourth place one stroke back of Conner Cavin, Chad Arsenault, and Dillon Dunbar . Spears stayed focused
on Saturday and improved his score by seven strokes and was able to take over the first position. Once Sunday finally came
Spears continued to play strong despite strong competition from Garrett Barnes of Biloxi, MS. Spears had enough on the last day
to keep Barnes at bay and shoot a three day total of 210 (73-66-71) and capture the Overall Boys Title. Rounding out the rest of the top
five were Garrett Barnes (75-70-72, 217) of Biloxi, MS; Dillon Dunbar (72-72-73, 217) of Marksville, LA; Chad Arsenault (72-74-79, 225)
of Baton Rouge, LA; and Jake Pritchard (75-75-75, 225) of Angie, LA.

Stephen Wall Junior Boys Champion
Stephen Wall of Madisonville, LA captured the Junior Boys Title with a three day total of 226
(77-73-76). On Friday Wall found himself in the third position four strokes back of Drew Gonzales of
Baton Rouge, LA and one stroke back of Derick Pillai of Metairie, LA. As the round on Saturday concluded Wall was able to claim the second spot by shooting a solid round of 73 and keep touch with the leader Gonzales. After Sunday concluded by Wall would play solid enough to claim the title over Gonzales by a single stroke. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Derick Pillai (76-81-72,229) of Metairie, LA; Michael Sotile (78-76-76, 230) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Casey Miller (78-78-75, 231) of Lafayette, LA.

Harris Wins Overall Girls Title

Angelica Harris Overall Girls Champion
Angelica Harris of New Orleans, LA claimed the Overall Girls Title at the Coca-Cola Junior Classic this past weekend at the Beaver Creek Golf Club. Friday’s action saw Emily Stratton of West Monroe, LA, lead the girls division into the clubhouse with a girl’s low of 72. Stratton had a one stroke lead over Harris of and on Saturday the lead would change after Stratton shot an 82 and Harris shot a 77. Harris was able to seal the victory on Sunday with a round of 76. Emily Stratton of West Monroe, LA finished second with a three day total of 229 (72-82-75), while Alexis Vega of Larose, LA would finish third and, Pearlissa Harris of New Orleans, LA finished fourth and Haley Harrington of St. Francisville, LA finished fifth. Arrowhead would like to acknowledge the female award winners at this year’s awards banquet. Player of the Year- Emily Stratton. Most Improved-Alexis Belton.
