With weather conditions being a factor in Saturday’s round, the older boys division of Arrowhead Junior Golf took to the course at the Beaver Creek Golf Club. Peyton McCulloch of Zachary, LA led the charge on the first day with an opening round of 76 only two strokes better than James Hubicz, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA.  On Sunday clearer weather made for better playing conditions but the results would be the same with McCulloch continuing to show his strong play by winning the Beaver Creek Junior Classic.  The position for second changed hands however, as Brennan LeBlanc would shoot an Overall Boys low round of 70 on Sunday to take the position away from Hubicz. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Brennan LeBlanc (85-70, 155) of Baton Rouge, LA; James Hubicz, Jr. (78-78, 156) of Baton Rouge, LA; Corbin Cantrell (84-72, 156) of Benton, LA; and Nick Ingles (79-80, 159) of New Orleans, LA.

Butcher claims Junior Boys Title

Price Butcher of New Orleans, LA captured the Junior Boys Division Title this weekend at the Beaver Creek Junior Classic at the Beaver Creek Golf Club in Zachary, LA. On Saturday, Triston Elston of Baton Rouge, LA shot an opening round of 79 to lead the junior boys into the clubhouse but was only two strokes over Butcher.  As the weather warmed up on Sunday so did Barbaree as he went on to shoot a final round of 75 to claims his first Junior Boys Title.  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Triston Elston (79-81, 160) of Baton Rouge, LA; Trey Winstead (84-80, 164) of Baton Rouge, LA; Connor Wilson (83-82, 165) of Central, LA; and Jacob Bergeron (84-83, 167) of Slidell, LA.

Harrington Wins Overall Girls Title

Haley Harrington of St. Francisville, LA proved that the weather couldn’t stop her at this tournament. Harrington led the overall girls into the clubhouse on Saturday with an opening round of 87, four strokes better than her nearest competitors Taylor Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA and Taylor Kennedy of Baton Rouge, LA.  When play resumed on Sunday Harrington continued to play strong and consistent by shooting a round two strokes better (83) while on her way to the Overall Girls Title five strokes over Thompson. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Taylor Thompson (91-84, 175) of Baton Rouge, LA; Danielle Perez (95-83, 178) of Lafayette, LA; Taylor Kennedy (91-87, 178) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Mary Frances Chauvin (96-91, 187) of Hammond, LA.

With weather conditions being a factor in Saturday’s round, the older boys division of Arrowhead Junior

day with an opening round of 76 with only one stroke better than Parker Remig of Gulf Breeze, FL. On
Sunday clearer weather made for better playing conditions but the results would be the same with Pritchettcontinuing to show his strong play by winning the Gulf Coast Junior Championship. The position for second changed hands however, as Austin Terrell would shoot an Overall Boys low round of 74 on Sunday to take the position away from Remig. Rounding out the rest of the top five were William Meyers (81-77, 158) of Baton Rouge, LA; Parker Remig (77-81, 158) of Gulf Breeze, FL; and
Josh Fullilove (84-78, 162) of Larose, LA.

Miller claims Junior Boys Title

Charlie Miller of Jackson, MS captured the Junior Boys Division Title this weekend at the
Gulf Coast Junior Champion at the Peninsula Golf Club in Gulf Shores, AL. Miller shot an opening
round of (79) on Saturday to trail only Sam Barton of Baton Rouge, LA by a mere stroke.  As the weather warmed up on Sunday so did Miller held steady by shooting a solid round of 80 to claim the title. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Ryan Barousse (85-81, 166) of Destin, FL; Sam Barton (78-90, 168) of Baton Rouge, LA; Spence Fraser (90-84, 174) of Fairhope, AL; and
Thomas Savoie (96-86, 182) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Angelica Harris of New Orleans, LA captured the Overall Girls Title this past weekend with a two day total
of 162 (79,83) over sister Pearlissa Harris of New Orleans, LA; who shot a two day total of 165 (81,84).

Barbaree Wins Quail Hollow Junior Classic

Philip Barbaree of Shreveport, LA used a strong Saturday score of 76 to capture the Quail Hollow
Junior Classic. Barbaree birdied hole 10 on Saturday and ended the day Saturday two strokes
behind leader Austin Terrell of Kosciusko, MS. With conditions playing a factor on Sunday, the golfers struggled but Barbaree was able to hold steady and keep his lead intact. Barbaree shot a 75 on Sunday giving him a two day total of 151 (76-75) and the victory two strokes over Wilson Furr of Jackson, MS who had a two day total of 153 (79-74).  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Adam Kavanay (153, 77-76) of McComb, MS; Austin Terrell (154, 74-80) of Kosciusko, MS; and
Peter Mata (156, 77-79) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Gonzales Continues Strong Play

Drew Gonzales of Lafayette, LA won the Junior Boys Title this past weekend by shooting a two day
total of 158 this past weekend at the Quail Hollow Golf Club. Gonzales birdied hole 18 on Saturday to put him one stroke behind leaded Michael Sotile of Baton Rouge, LA. Gonzales came out on Sunday and showed his abilities by shooting a junior boys low of 76. Gonzales ended the tournament a 6 strokes over Derick Pillai of Metairie, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Michael Sotile (164, 81-83) of Baton Rouge, LA; Jacob Wyatt (165, 84-81) of Bossier City, LA;
and Triston Elston (170, 84-86) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Taylor Kennedy of Baton Rouge, LA captured the Overall Girls Title this past weekend with a two day
total of 178 (91,87) over Emily Cunningham of Wiston, GA; who shot a two day total of 194 (102,92).  Arrowhead would like to thank both of these ladies for coming out and playing this weekend. Focus helps Terrell win at Point Clear

Austin Terrell  of Kosciusko, MS set the pace early by shooting an opening round of 78 which was one
stroke better Grant Welch of Baton Rouge, LA. On Sunday, Terrell went on to shoot an 83 , but Davis Field of St. Francisville, LA went on to shoot a second day round of 77 to tie Terrell and force a playoff. The playoff would last and amazing three holes before Terrell was finally crowned the winner. 
Rounding out the rest of the top five were Ryan Martin of Mandeville, LA (163, 84-79);
Hunter Hale of Franklinton, LA (163, 84-79); and Grant Welch of Baton Rouge, LA (165, 79-86).

Sotile Wins Junior Boys Division

Michael Sotile claimed another Arrowhead Junior Golf tournament win this weekend at the Kelly Love
Showcase Classic in Point Clear, AL. Sotile concluded Saturday’s action one stroke behind Charlie
Miller of Jackson, MS who shot an opening round of 77. Sotile kept his cool on Sunday by shooting a very respectable 73 to complete an amazing weekend of golf with a two day total of 151. Sotile finished the tournament three strokes over Miller, who again shot a very solid round of 77. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Price Butcher of New Orleans, LA  (161, 80-81); Triston Elston of
Baton Rouge, LA (164, 78-86); and Spencer Fraiser of Fairhope, AL  (170, 84-86).

Ross Claims Girls Title

Emily Ross of Diamondhead, MS captured the Overall Girls Title this weekend at the Lakewood Golf
Club in Point Clear, AL. When Saturday’s round concluded, Ross was one stroke behind Lauren Durbin
of Biloxi, MS, who shot an opening round 85. At the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday, Ross found herself the leader after a solid round of 82, which was good enough to beat Durbin by
three strokes. Ross finished the tournament with a two day total of 168. Rounding out the rest
of the top five were Angelica Harris of New Orleans, LA (172, 88-84); Miriam Parker of
Madison, MS (172, 87-85); and Taylor Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA (184, 91-93).

Brandon Rice from Stonewall, LA teed off Saturday morning in the first group and left the field looking
at his back.  As the round concluded on Saturday, Rice was the early leader with shooting a one over
par 73 but was tied with Hunter Hale of Franklinton, LA. Rice kept that play going Sunday having birdied holes 1, 7, and 11 to give him an even par 72. Rice’s play earned him his first Arrowhead Overall Boys Title of season. Rice’s two day total of 145 was good enough to give him a five stroke victory over Jake Pritchard (76-74, 150) of Angie, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Hunter Hale (73-79, 152) of Franklinton, LA; Matthew Jakuback (76-78, 154) of Baton Rouge, LA;
and Conner Cavin (78-82, 160) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Sotile Continues Strong Play
 
As beautiful weather moved into the Lafayette area over the weekend, Michael Sotile of Baton Rouge,
LA continued his strong Arrowhead play this weekend as he captured another Junior Boys Title. Sotile
shot a respectable round of 78 on Saturday by having birdied hole 17 on his way to a one stroke lead
over Jack Tolson of Opelousas, LA. On Sunday, Sotile would not let up as he continued to play strong
by shoot yet another 78. Sotile won by a single stroke over Tolson and 2 strokes over Casey Miller of Carencro, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Micah Goulas (82-79, 161) from
New Iberia, LA; and James Capps (82-80, 162) from Baton Rouge, LA.

Kennedy Claims Overall Girls Title

total of 172 (86,86) over Lauren Aillet of Lafayette, LA who shot a two day total of 174 (91,83) and
Danielle Perez of Lafayette, LA who also shot a two day total of 174 (88,86). Arrowhead would like to

Sam Burns of Shreveport, LA shot a 72 on Saturday afternoon to lead the senior boys division
into the clubhouse on Saturday September 24th, the first day of the AJGT Oak Wing Junior Classic
at Oak Wing Golf Club in Alexandria, LA. Burns kept his lead in stride Sunday and would shoot a 78
giving him a two day total of 150 and a two stroke victory over Jake Pritchard (77-65, 152) of
Angie,LA ;and five strokes over Alex Anderson from Baton Rouge, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Nathan Jeansonne (79-77,156) of Keithville, LA; and Ryan Alford (74-84, 158) of Monroe, LA.
Arrowhead would also like to thank the staff at Oak Wing Golf Club for making this
tournament such a success.

Barbaree Claims Junior Boys Title

Philip Barbaree, Jr. from Shreveport, LA captured another junior boy’s tournament win on Sunday
afternoon. Barbaree shot a 69 on Saturday to lead the junior boys division by four strokes over
Stephen Wall from Madisonville, LA. Barbaree would shoot a 71 on Sunday giving him a tournament low two day score of 140 and the victory over Hunter David (74-78,152) of Lafayette, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Stephen Wall (73-79, 152) from Madisonville, LA; Drew Gonzales (77-79, 156) from Lafayette, LA; and Garett James (79-79, 158) from Lumberton, TX.
