Arrowhead to Add College Age Group
The Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour has decided to allow college age students to participate on the tour during the summer months. Owen Seiler, Executive Director of the AJGT, spoke with a few college coaches and past Arrowhead players and believes the idea will benefit the tour and the players. College players have a hard time finding a place to play over the summer. The numbers that are interested do not justify developing a standalone tour, but additional players of college level will definitely help the AJGT.
The tour will begin allowing registrants between the ages of 19-24 to compete in the college level with the May15-16, 2010 tournament at Lakewood Golf Club in Pointe Clear, Alabama. The summer tour which visits The Bluffs, TPC of Louisiana, TPC Sawgrass and Annandale will all be excellent venues for everyone to compete at. The summer season ending Coca Cola Classic at Beaver Creek on July 30-August 1, 2010 will conclude the older age groups participation.
Watch the Zurich Classic on television next weekend to see the TPC of Louisiana layout. The field for this tournament is one of the best in recent years.
