Arrowhead Tour Returns from Sawgrass Williams and Pruett Claim Senior Division Titles Hitchner and Harris Win Junior Titles
Brian Williams (76-82, 158) of Cut Off, Louisiana made par on the Island Green at TPC Sawgrass and held on for a one stroke victory at the AJGT Sawgrass Junior Classic this week in Florida in the Senior Boys Division. Tyler Hitchner (76-80, 156) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama won the Junior Boys Title. Rebekah Pruett (83-89, 172) of Niceville, Florida won the Senior Girls Title and Angelica Harris (85-93, 178) of New Orleans, Louisiana won the Junior Girls Title. The traveling experience for the Arrowhead Tour was a memorable one. The entire facility was breathtaking. The clubhouse was an experience in itself. It was fitting for our players to experience playing the last three holes Tuesday afternoon as a conclusion to the entire event. The staff at TPC Sawgrass treated us first class and we appreciate that.
Williams Fires Back Nine 37 to Win First Arrowhead Title

Brian Williams of Cut off, Louisiana fired a tournament best back nine 37 on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass to claim a one stroke victory over Dillon Dunbar (81-78, 159) of Marksville, Louisiana and Daniel Hawkins (77-82, 159) of Shreveport, Louisiana. Williams began the day with a one stroke lead over Hawkins after opening with a 76 on the Valley Course. Williams ran into early trouble on the Stadium Course on Tuesday and carded a front nine 45. A birdie on the par four 12th and a long bogey putt save on 14 put him in position to win. Hawkins held the lead until he ran into trouble at the historic Island Green hole. Dunbar continued his rock steady play and shot a 40-38 on Tuesday to tie for second.
Bull Mixon (79-81, 160) of Poplarville, Mississippi and Parker Rutherford (82-78, 160) of Vicksburg, Mississippi tied for fourth place. Taylor Billings (79-83, 162) of Kenner Louisiana, Hunter Gauntlett (81-81, 162) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jessie Grazier (83-79, 162) and Taylor Sparkman (79-83, 162) of Odessa Texas tied for sixth place.

Hitchner Fires 156 to Win Junior title

Tyler Hitchner of Tuscaloosa, Alabama began the day with a three stroke lead after an opening round 76 on the Valley Course. On Tuesday he used a front nine 39 to open up a lead he would not relinquish. Hitchner had twenty six pars over the two days. William Meyers (79-82, 161) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana continued his steady play to claim the second place trophy. Triston Elston (79-83, 162) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana finished six shots back in third place. Brennan Leblanc (77-92, 169),of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Alex Anderson (81-91, 172) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Beau Briggs (86-89, 174) of Madisonville, Louisiana rounded out the top six.

Pruett and Harris claim Girls Titles

Rebekah Pruett of Niceville Florida shot 172 to claim the Senior Girls title. Pruett had a birdie on each course to help win the title. Angelica Harris of New Orleans, Louisiana finished in second place overall and won the Junior Girls Title with a 178. Emily Blount (92-99, 191) of Denham Springs, Louisiana and Elizabeth Borda (98-101, 199) of Metairie , Louisiana rounded out the field.

Who Birdied the Island Green
Colin Troxler of Luling, Louisiana was the only junior to birdie the Island Green. On the Senior Boys side, Hunter Hale of Franklinton, Louisiana, Roy Brown of Monroe, Louisiana and Clay Harbin of Jackson, Tennessee all accomplished the feat. By the way, tour owner Owen Seiler, a 16 handicap, birdied the Island Green on both Saturday and Sunday. They did ask because of his added weight that he not return to the Island until he loses 20 pounds……
